Renewal of Vows or Commitment Ceremony …

“The Most Wonderful of all Things in Life”

by Sir Hugh Walpole

“The most wonderful of all things in life is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has a growing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase.
This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it.
It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life.”

Couples choose to renew their vows for lots of different reasons.

  • For some it is a great excuse to have a party!
  • For others it is a desire to share their maturing love with close friends and family.
  • Or their relationship may have encountered obstacles along the way and they would like to mark the end of these and the beginning of a stronger and renewed relationship.

The law in Australia declares that marriage is between a man and a woman, and therefore it precludes me from conducting a Marriage Ceremony for same sex couples.

However, I am perfectly at liberty to conduct a ceremony that, apart from the legal words I would use at a wedding, I can say most other things.

Providing I make it clear to your guests that it is not a Marriage Ceremony, we can still create a beautiful and meaningful Commitment Ceremony for you.
